Ram Prasad Bismil was a revolutionary freedom fighter. With immense love for his country and countrymen, he battled for the independence of India from the Britishers even if it led to his death. This is his life story, in his own words. Bismil wrote his autobiography while he was imprisoned. Powerful and thought-provoking, this book clearly describes his participation in the freedom movement of India, the mentality of the country's youth, and the fear and oppression of the common people. He wrote about his propagation of unity despite religious differences, a message he had for all his countrymen, and also touched upon his participation in the infamous Kakori conspiracy which led to his arrest.

Born on June 11, 1897, in the United Provinces (Uttar Pradesh), the great revolutionary Ram Prasad Bismil is one of the brave fighters of the Indian freedom struggle. He had not only closely observed the freedom movement but also lived it, and for this he sacrificed his life. He was hanged at Gorakhpur Jail on December 19, 1927, for his revolutionary activities.
